Day 01 :
Momella Gate & Hiking Towards Miriakamba Hut from Arusha

At Arusha hotel your pickup time is scheduled at 7:00 AM. Mount Meru trek begins with a one hour drive of approximately 40 km through the stunning hills towards Momella Gate (1,500m/4,921ft) which is located in Arusha National Park. After the warm greetings from your mountain guides, you will be introduced to the protocol of the park rangers where they inform you about the safety measures for the trails. Your hike through dense montane forest will begin from there. The hike will take around 5 to 6 hours and spans 10km. While winding through the montane forest you’ll pass by ancient Fig trees with branches draped in moss and alive with the songs of birds and rustling of small wildlife. Perfect for spotting wildlife such as Giraffes, Buffalos and Zebras. To make the experience even safer, an armed ranger will join the group. For your safety and comfort, porters will be supporting you by carrying your gear. Midway on your hike an armed ranger will escort you to a grassy clearing to feast on packed lunch, where you will be offered magnificent early glimpses of Meru’s crater. You will make your way towards a rustic style dormitory known as the Miriakamba Hut, where you will rest at mid afternoon. The hut is located at 2,514m/8,248ft and is equipped with bunk beds and shared facilities.
Enjoy a warm dinner served to you while tailored to your taste that has been crafted by your crew, surrounded by the tranquil wilderness as you adjust to holding high altitudes while manoeuvring under the starlit sky.

Day 02 :
Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut & Attempt to reach the peak

First, we shall summarize the day’s activities. With a mix of refreshing and replenishing meals, set out to explore the wonders of Kili. Head out to the mountain with rich portions of omelet, tea, and bread to carry out the trek. Starting the morning early always works best to set out on the mountain before day breaks in deeper.
Aim to depart base and make your way to Miriakamba Hut at dawn. Keep aiming to reach the Miriakamba hut by reserving the trek meal around mid-morning. You will be rewarded a side view of Kili to the North East if the sky is clear.
You will be able to additionally enjoy views of Mount Meru’s crater and patchy Heather. Completing the trek you will be able to relieve yourself of AMS. After Kuva, the final setting point, you will be required to take a short meal break and afterwards work alongside your guides on structure-focused routes whilst moving over ashy hills and ridges made from hard stone to reach the first stepping pole of the Swimming Pool. Thanks to your guides, once you reach the last cape, you will be able to enjoy the view from the top in mind-drowning deeper of the icy form of the peak- Kili. During the winter months, celebrate alongside more than 7000 successful climbers who have preceded you.
Accomplishing the final stretch as the sun rises rewards hikers with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the crater’s ash cone. Once all pictures are taken, hikers will begin to make their way down to Saddle Hut over the next 3 to 4 hours. There, they will enjoy a nice hearty brunch while recuperating from the strenuous night. This epic day of adventure travel will end with dinner and a well-deserved sleep.

Day 03 :
Saddle Hut to Momella Gate to Return to Arusha

Breakfast will be served at 7 and at 8, everyone can partake in exploring the sunrise views and soak in the achievement from the summit days before. Head out at 8 am to begin the rest of the steps which will take an estimated 5-6 hours with a view of 8km from the momella gate at the 1500 meters altitude. Once descend is started, moorland and rainforest will be trekked through, keeping you in the local spirit. While these perspectives are being taken in, wildlife can be seen at the last chance for the expedition. Looking back at your mt meru experience will change your perspective on your remaining wildlife glimpses hoping to catch baboons and dik-diks hiding in the trees. To top this off, while porters have been preparing the exit for easy passenger flow, guides have been sharing the wonders of Tanzanian culture with your fellow travelers. By early afternoon, you will get to the gate, where you will be welcomed with baby dik-diks and sandwiches, and your very own summit certificate. While reminiscing nature and triumph, you can take a ride back to Arusha at 3-4pm in an hour. It is important to note that there is a 40km drive, so be prepared to check on the time. After arriving at our destination, you are welcomed to the Kilimanjaro international spot or your hotel. This unique experience is the perfect conclusion to your adventure in Tanzania.
