Mt kilimanjaro climbing routes
The Mount Kilimanjaro, highest mountainous region of Africa, has several climbing routes with varying degrees of difficulty, duration, and beauty. The climbing routes commonly trek through diversified ecosystems such as the beautiful rain forests, alpine meadows and barren volcanoes, all the way to the Mount’s peak standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). Most routes facilitated take from five to nine days to be finished. The Machame Route is famous for its wonderful views while Marangu Route provides hut accommodations. Rongai, Lemosho, and Umbwe offer quieter or more difficult paths. Almost all routes join at the crater rim and lead to Uhuru Peak, the climbers’ top goal, with Stella Point or Gilman’s Point serving as the leads. Preparation, pacing, and climactic conditions play a large factor towards success.
