Day to day itinerary
Elephant watching isn't usually on a honeymoon agenda, but you are not going on a regular honeymoon. Your 2 week-long bush adventure begins with a warm pickup from your hotel in a private 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop up roof. You are off for Tarangire National Park, where a warm welcome awaits you along with a lot of tracking opportunities. Some Elephants can even be sighted while you're making your way to the park. This is the time to keep your eyes peeled for Giraffes, Zebras, and other exotic wildlife. Your expert guide will give the them card game in full while you relish the picturesque rural Tanzanian village views as well as the verdant hills. Don't forget to capture the unending fields punctuated by aged Baobab trees that are famous across the world. The park gate will be ready for you whenever between 10 to 11 am, and instantly upon arrival you will be set for a drive that will have you transfixed at every twist and turn you take.
You get a small lunch break around the Tarangire River at 1 PM and get to enjoy a picnic that has freshly made sandwiches, juice, and fruit. It's an ideal way to celebrate the beginning of your life together in a romantic setting. You can toast to first enjoying your lunch, and then at 2, begin your game drive, this time on a different side of the park. You will be able to see many birds like the colorful lovebirds in the swamp and acacia woodlands until 4:30 PM. You should reach your campsite by 5 PM. Your tent will be ready, along with comfy mattresses, sleeping bags, and a shared facility. You will also have some tea while watching the sun as it changes the sky from blue to pink and orange. To complete your first night in Tanzania, you will be served ugali with beef stew under the stars. A lovely dish to help you settle in.

Start your day at 06:30 with the wakeup call of the bush and enjoy a good breakfast consisting of chapati, eggs, and fresh fruits at the camps. Depart from Tarangire at 8:00 AM for Serengeti National Park (250 km (250 km, ~4-5 hours). On the way, you can admire the incredible scenery from your private 4x4 vehicle. Have a quick stretch and coffee break at 10:00 AM where you can grab some pictures of the hillside while having tea or coffee. Arrive at the Naabi Hill Gate campsite in Serengeti by 12:30 PM. Once you arrive, you will also be provided with a packed lunch consisting of sandwiches and bananas. You can enjoy these while taking in the beautiful views of the plains. What a wonderful moment!
At 1:30 PM, Your afternoon game drive commences as you plunge into the golden grasslands of Serengeti. Your guide will try to find predator species such as lions and cheetahs which are commonly seen on rocky kopjes. Try to picture the awe-inspiring Great Migration too. You may see thousands of wildebeest on the move from June to October. By 5:30 PM, get to your campsite in Serengeti which lies in the middle of the park. Your tent is a cozy hideaway and after settling in, you can share a warm drink as the stars become visible. Dinner at 7 consists of something hearty, perhaps something like grilled chicken on rice, served under lantern light while hyena and distant lions chorus your backdrop.

Wake at six to the Serengeti sunrise, while having a warm cup of coffee, toast and porridge. Game drives can make for unpredictable schedules, so it is ideal to start the morning as early as possible. Drive begins around seven, allowing guests to explore the rich wildlife on display. Lunchtime arrives around noon, with a portion of pasta salad and mangoes as well.
To ensure a perfect picture, the place chosen to have lunch by the river needs to be lesser known. After lunch, making your way through the lake is ideal while searching for crocodiles, refreshing lagoons for the hippos to bath in, and out many other animals. Wildlife gains its peak activity around dusk, allowing guests to enjoy the last few hours of daylight on a safari drive.
From 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM, drive with more enthusiasm in search of more elephants, giraffes, and even leopards lounging in trees. Afterward, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (145 km, ~3 Hours) and you should reach your campsite around the rim of the crater by 6:30 PM. Once you set up the tent and take in the view at the caldera, drink some tea while marveling at the breathtaking scene. The highland air is refreshing and global. After an adventure filled day, eat some dinner at 7:30 PM. A vegetable stew wrapped in a chapati sounds exquisite and best of all, you'll be able to relish in the romantic, glowing, moonlit crater silhouettes.

From there Arusha is just a four-hour drive. You will get to Arusha at 5:30 pm and your amazing trip will end at the hotel or the airport.
